The Samyang 50mm f/1.3 Cine AS UMC CS, like all Cine lenses from Samyang, features a knurled focusing ring so that it can be used with follow focus system. You can change the aperture quiet and smooth with decoupled variable aperture ring. With a maximum aperture of F1.3 can even shoot in very dark conditions.
The Samyang 50mm f/1.3 has nine glass lens elements in seven groups, including three aspherical glass lens elements (ASP). These ensure a minimization of unwanted light scattering and provide a high resolution from the center to the corners. This lens also includes Samyang's Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) to optimize light transmission and the occurrence of flare and ghosting to go against.
The nine diaphragm blades are designed to create an almost circular diaphragm opening for giving a very nice bokeh. The housing of this Samyang Cine lens is compact and robust, because of the use of a durable aluminum alloy.
