The Samyang 50mm f/1.3 Cine AS UMC CS features, like all Cine lenses from Samyang, a knurled focusing ring so that it can be used together with follow focus system. You can change the diaphragm quietly and smoothly with the decoupled stepless aperture ring. Because, of a maximum aperture of f/1.3, you can even shoot in very dark conditions.
The Samyang 50mm f/1.3 has nine glass lens elements in seven groups, including three glass aspherical lens elements (ASP). These ensure a minimization of unwanted light scattering and provide a high resolution from the center to the corners. This lens also includes Samyang’s Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) to optimize light transmission and to minimize the occurrence of flare and ghosting.
The nine diaphragm blades are designed to create an almost circular diaphragm opening to give a very nice bokeh. The housing of this Samyang Cine lens is compact and robust because it is made of a durable aluminum alloy.
