Samyang 135mm T2.2 VDSLR Pentax

The Samyang 135mm T2.2 VDSLR with Pentax K-mount is the cine/video-version of the well-known Samyang 135mm f2.0 ED UMC lens with the same optical characteristics. The VDSLR-version is provided with a geared focus ring which allows to use the follow-focus system. This lens is suitable for full-frame DSLR or camcorders with a 24x36 or smaller sensor.

The Samyang 135mm T2.2 VDSLR lens has a floating lens structure with an extra low-dispersion lens element for maximum optical performance. Thanks to the circular aperture with nine iris blades a beautiful background blur can be achieved when shouting portraits. All lens elements are provided with Samyangs multilayer anti-reflective UMC coating, resulting in a very high contrast and natural color reproduction. Both the lens design as well as the coating contribute to a minimization of the chromatic aberrations, ghosting and flaring.

The VDSLR-version of the Samyang 135mm T2.2 VDSLR lens has an uncoupled aperture and a focus ring, an ideal combination for shooting. Another difference is that at the VDSLR version, the maximum light intensity is measured in T-stops instead of F-stops. At T-stops, the actual amount of light that passes through is measured, which makes the indication in T-stops more accurate.
