Leica X-U (Typ 113)
The Leica X-U compact camera is specifically designed and built for outdoor use. Thanks to the exceptionally bright lens and a built-in flash unit it allows the photographers to capture breathtaking moments in perfect detail and premium quality, both on land and underwater. The Leica X-U is in fact the first Leica camera that is waterproof, and this to a depth of up to 15 meters.
The camera is shock and impact resistant up to a fall of 1.22 meters and is able to function at temperatures from 0° C up to 40° C. This makes the robust Leica XU the ideal companion for any outdoor adventurer and ambitious outdoor photographer. An optimum picture quality with the Leica X is guaranteed by the renowned, cutting-edge technology of Leica X camera range. The combination of a professional APS-C format CMOS sensor with over 16.5 megapixels and a Leica Summilux 23mm F1.7 aspherical lens ensures natural color reproduction and maximum detail, even at a closest focusing distance of just 20cm.
The large diaphragm aperture of F1.7 also provides the freedom to explore the particularly fascinating creative possibilities of selective focus. The design of this unique camera was made by Audi Design. With a top plate of high-quality aluminum and non-slip TPE "armour" the sturdy housing ensures not only an exceptional haptic experience but also impressive durability.
